We met for the first time through mutual friends at the Chillout Festival in Daylesford, Victoria. That evening we partied together and became friends on Facebook, but didn't see each other in person again for years.

After several years of liking each others Facebook statuses, we both happened to attend a rooftop drinking session with a mutual friend where we reconnect in person again. The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing, and this time we were both single. So naturally there were sparks flying...

After a few sporadic dates (and months of Chris trying desperately to woo Mikey), we planned a getaway in Tasmania together. It was on this trip that we spent hours talking around the fireplace and really got to know each other. We both came home from this trip wanting to pursue something more serious.

The Australian national electorate votes in support of same-sex marriage. In the lead up to this vote, Chris campaigned tirelessly to win the support of the Seddon Community, and he threw a street party in celebration. This is the day that Michael knew his fate was sealed, and now that it was officially possible, we both knew that we wanted to spend our lives together.

We took our first international holiday together to take part in The Gay Games in Paris, France. Chris won a gold medal in Olympic Freestyle Wrestling. Mikey ran a half marathon without coming close to a podium finish!

While in Turkey on a sailing holiday for a friends 40th birthday, we discussed marriage for the first time... after many bottles of rose...

We bite the bullet and move in together. Mikey moving to the West was the easy part. Convincing Chris to renovate his kitchen as a condition of them living together takes a bit more work. But persistence (or nagging) prevails. This was the first of many glow ups that Michael is responsible for.

We decide to become doggy-daddies and we rescue Ted, who has come to share our lives. With a mutual love of cheese, it's a match made in heaven.

After we took our first trip to Point Lonsdale together, we knew this was going to become a regular place for us to getaway. We have continued to create a lot of memories here with our family and friends.

You have all been a huge part of our lives and our journey together. We could not be more excited to share our special day with you.
